CS Integration Pathway

The CS Integration professional learning pathway is designed to prepare all K-12 educators to integrate computer science practices and principles into their existing curriculum.

Participant Group: 

K-12 educators (no previous CS experience required) 

Dates:

Monday, July 21 - Thursday, July 24

Details: 

The CS Integration pathway allows participants to choose from a variety of daily sessions covering topics such as:

  • Code.org CS Fundamentals and Discoveries curricula

  • Building SCRATCH into your classroom

  • Physical Computing Playground - featuring a deep dive into the DOE’s Mobile CS Carts

  • Dedicated sessions exploring physical computer tools such as Lego robotics, BeeBots, Micro:bits, etc.

  • Navigating AI in teaching and learning

  • CS Unplugged

  • Supporting Students in the Maine State Science Fair - with a special focus on CS and Data Literacy skills

  • Model integrated lessons & strategies for identifying where to integrate CS 

  • Collaborative integration planning and design
